Individual Counseling

Available to clients located in Utah and Idaho

Understanding yourself changes everything.

Sometimes life leaves us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns we don't fully understand.

You may be carrying grief, relationship pain, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, or simply the quiet feeling that something isn't right.

Counseling offers a place to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and move toward healing with greater clarity, self-compassion, and hope.

What Brings People to Counseling?

I work with adults navigating:

  • Relationship challenges

  • Betrayal, infidelity, and divorce

  • Grief and significant life transitions

  • Anxiety and emotional overwhelm

  • Trauma and attachment wounds

  • Identity and self-worth

  • Faith questions and spiritual struggles

  • Adult autism and neurodivergence

My Approach

Healing begins with feeling safe enough to be honest and understood.

Counseling at Arise is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices that help people better understand themselves and create lasting change.

Depending on your needs, therapy may include:

  • Attachment-based therapy

  • Trauma-informed care

  • EMDR

  • Emotional processing

  • Mindfulness and self-compassion

  • Faith integration, when desired

Faith Integration

For clients who desire it, counseling can also include the principles and teachings of Jesus Christ.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, faith is an important part of my own life and naturally informs the way I understand healing, hope, forgiveness, and becoming.

Whether or not faith is part of your counseling experience is always your choice. You are free to engage at the level that feels right for you.

Location & Availability

Counseling is available for adults located in Utah and Idaho through secure telehealth, with in-person appointments available when appropriate.

If you live outside Utah or Idaho, educational workshops and other non-clinical resources are available regardless of location.

Meet Angela

Angela Gehrke, LCSW

I believe every person has a story that deserves to be understood with compassion. Whether you're navigating grief, relationship challenges, trauma, or discovering you're autistic later in life, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported as you move toward healing.

Understanding yourself changes everything.

Ready to Take the First Step?

Beginning counseling doesn't require having everything figured out.

Sometimes it simply begins with a conversation.

A free 15-minute consultation is an opportunity to ask questions, talk about what brings you here, and determine whether counseling feels like the right fit.
